Abstract (EN)
In recent years, the growing of need for clean energy has led to an increase of researches in fuel cell technology. Various fuels are used as a source of hydrogen fuel cells, as well as high efficiency and quiet without environmental pollution in the field of energy production in the future will have a common field of application. In this thesis study, slip casting method has been tested as an alternative production method for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) components. It is aimed to develop an appropriate process in the cost of production of solid oxide fuel cell with slip casting method by producing the electrolyte layer on the anode and cathode plates that produced by applying tape casting and calendering techniques. At the beginning of the problems of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) means the need to work at high temperature, difficulties and high cost of production. Productions processing of SOFC components which are advanced technology ceramics are expensive and difficult techniques. For this reason, yet has not found widespread use, so in research and development works generally has been to reduce costs. The porosity ranges of anode and cathode plates are produced from Ni/YSZ and LSMYSZ powders are measured by Archimedes technique. The porosity of anode and cathode plates, sintered in 1200 oC and 1350 oC, are found to have the range of %20-xiv40. The anode and cathode plates, are produced 0,75 mm thick, are cut in the size of 15mm*15mm and sintered. After that 8YSZ electrolyte layer is applied with the slip casting technique. Morphologies of the half-cells, sintered at 1200oC, 1350oC and 1450oC, are examined by SEM analysis. As a result of SEM analysis the size and distribution of the porosity samples are observed as homogeneous. By performing linear analysis with EDX analysis on the electrolyte surface of the half-cell, is seen that the constant electrolyte layer has been. Keywords: Solid Oxide Fuel Cell, Slip Casting, Anode, Cathode, Electrolyte
