Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the mobile literacy skill levels of primary school teachers based on the variables of gender, educational status, professional seniority, career stage, and school type. The study was designed using the survey model, a quantitative research approach. The study population consists of primary school teachers working in the Şehzadeler and Yunusemre districts of Manisa province during the 2024–2025 academic year. A simple random sampling method was employed for the study. After calculating the sample size, the research scale was administered to 252 classroom teachers. Data were collected using a personal information form prepared by the researcher and the data collection instrument developed by Karalı et al. (2023). Since the data did not exhibit a normal distribution, the Mann–Whitney U test was applied for variables with two categories (gender, school type), and the Kruskal–Wallis H test was used for variables with three categories (educational status, professional seniority, career stage). The results indicated that the primary school teachers' mobile literacy levels were "high" in the advanced skills sub-dimension, "very high" in the basic skills sub-dimension, and "high" overall. While significant differences were found in mobile literacy skill levels regarding gender, educational status, and professional seniority, no significant differences were observed based on career stage or school type.
