USAGE OF SODIUM CHLORIDE IN MAMMOGRAPHYAS RADIATION DOSIMETRY(M. Sc. Thesis)Bekir Sinan DEM RGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYFebruary 2006ABSTRACTDosimetry is the stimulation of atoms within the human tissues as a result ofradiation emission and measurement of absorbed radiation energy amount viaionization. In this study, ability to use a NaCl sample during mammographyprocesses as dosimetry with using IRSL technique. Obtained results are fitted tothe most ideal line and equation of the line is found. Exposure timesadministered to the NaCl sample are compared with using this equation.Science Code : 202Key Words : Optically Stimulates Luminescence (OSL), SodiumChloride (NaCl), Mammography, DosimetryPage Number : 32Adviser : Prof. Dr. Gunes TANIR
