Effect of sodyum nitroprussid on coriander (Coriandrum sativumL.) under salt stress

This research was established in Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Agriculture in 2019 to determine the effects on seedling growth of the coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) Arslan variety, which was applied different doses of sodium chloride (NaCl) and sodium nitroprusside (SNP) under controlled conditions. The experiment was set up in a randomized plot design with four replications. Irrigation was done in a controlled manner. Five different applications were made; control group (no application was made), 50 mM NaCl and three different concentrations of sodium nitroprusside (50, 100 and 200 µM) + 50 mM NaCl were applied. As a result of different irrigation applications in the Arslan coriander variety, plant height, number of branches per plant, fresh herb yield, dry herb yield, fresh root weight, dry root weight, number of viable plants, relative anthocyanin amount, relative leaf chlorophyll amount, stomatal conductivity, leaf temperature and mineral matter determination was made. According to the results of the researches, the average values are as follows; plant height 25.38-35.25 cm, number of branches 11.03-15.38, fresh herb weight 7.21-11.69 gr, fresh root weight 1.79-6.98 gr, dry herb weight 1.50 -1.64 gr, dry root weight 0.65-1.97 gr, stoma 27.37-90.05 mmol/m²s, leaf temperature 26.03 -28.26 °C, SPAD 19.38-31.59, ACM amount 2.13-4.26. According to the findings, the best application dose for coriander plant was obtained from 200 µM SNP + 50 mM NaCl dose.
