Abstract (EN)
This paper studies the emergence of the piano etudes only for left hand, based on definition of the etude form and its formation and development throughout the history. Information is given about the general characteristics of the left hand etudes, their compositional and technical styles and the benefits of practicing them. The list of the left hand etudes sorted by their composers is also provided.
