AN APPLICATION OF THE FINITE DIFFERENCE METHOD TO THE SOLUTION OF DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS FOR LOAD BEARING SYSTEMS (II. Sc. Thesis) Sedat ÇEVÎKEL GAZİ UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY September 1988 ABSTRACT In this study, finite difference method has been applied to the solution of differential equations associated with the load bearing systems. One-dimensional Hermite numerical solution technique has been employed in order to minimize the numerical errors.
