Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the mediating role of burnout in the effect of responsible leadership on job satisfaction in businesses operating in the optical sector. The research was conducted using a relational screening model. The sample of the study consists of 392 participants selected through convenience sampling among professionals working in the optical sector. A questionnaire method was used as the data collection tool, and participants were administered a demographic information form, Responsible Leadership Scale, Maslach Burnout Inventory, and Job Satisfaction Scale. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS software. The research results showed that responsible leadership positively affects employees' job satisfaction. Additionally, it was found that responsible leadership reduces burnout levels, and burnout negatively affects job satisfaction. As a result of the mediation analysis, it was determined that burnout plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between responsible leadership and job satisfaction. These findings suggest that responsible leadership practices in the optical sector can be effective in increasing employees' job satisfaction and reducing burnout levels. The study contributes to the literature by addressing the relationships between responsible leadership, burnout, and job satisfaction from a holistic perspective. Furthermore, it is considered that the obtained results provide guidance to managers of businesses operating in the optical sector in developing strategies to increase employee well-being and improve organizational effectiveness.
