Socio-economic level and violence against women: Gaziantep sample

This study examines the socio-economic status of women who has exposed to the violence lives in Gaziantep. In this context, the question of the research is which socio-economic level women are exposed to violence. A face-to-face interview was conducted with 30 women who had been subjected to violence by referring to the socio-economic dimension of violence against women. In the study, the realities experienced by the women who have been subjected to violence by using qualitative methods were transferred from the first mouth. It has been tried to find answers to the questions of why women are exposed to violence, what are the forms of violence the relationship between the forms of violence and the socio-economic levels, and which socio-economic level face more violence. In the results, it was observed that women were exposed to violence from every socio-economic level, while at the same time, men from every socio-economic level applied violence to their spouses.
