Abstract (EN)

Folk tales were the leading texts which were told with a musical instrument called "saz" by the minstrels to the audiences for years. These tales, which were constituted by originating some parts of the own lives of the minstrels who grew up in the very society or the lives of the minstrels alike, attracted the society's interest greatly. The tales attracting the society's interest were the subjects mentioned in the folk policies of communist regime with the invasion of the Soviet Union to Azerbaijan. Party members, in invaded Azerbaijan, under the leadership of Lenin and Stalin, tried to arrange the tales for the good of the regime as they were in other regions. The Soviet Union government, greatly benefitted from Azerbaijani minstrels in this respect, tried to destroy some values of classic folk tales belonging to the ancient life styles. This destruction, done via minstrels in folk tales, not only provides the spread and the development of the communist regime in Azerbaijan but also causes the government adhere to Soviet Russia and strictly stick to communist concept. We attempted to find out the destruction in folk tales done by Soviet Russia using Azerbaijani minstrels and follow the traces belonging to the communist regime in folk tales set with new themes. Searching the traces of the communist regime in folk tales, we benefitted from the folk tales called "new saga" that Ehliman Ahundov includes in the fifth volume of "Azerbaijani Sagas". We attempted to show the communist regime's policy of creating prototype Soviet Union citizen by examining the episodes, heroes and themes of the folk tales in this book.
