Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between sleep quality and disease activity, which is evaluated by Jenkins Sleep Scale in patients with spondyloarthritis (SpA). Materials and Methods: In this study, SpA patients who applied to Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine Rheumatology Department Polyclinic were included. Demographic characteristics and disease-specific variables were questioned for each patient. Patients were also questioned for the duration of diagnosis, chronic comorbid diseases and drug use. Sleep quality was evaluated using the JSEQ scale. Disease activity and functional status were evaluated using BASDAI, BASFI, ASDAS. BASMI was used to evaluate the metrological measurements. Quality of life and fatigue were assessed by ASQoL and BASDAI's fatigue item. The presence of anxiety and depression in patients was evaluated with the HAD scale Results:In our study, a higher rate of sleep disturbance was detected in our patients compared to the general population. There was a statistically significant relationship between sleep quality and pain severity, depression, anxiety, quality of life, BASDAI, BASFI, ASDAS CRP, ASDAS ESH and BASMI. Conclusion: The data showed that sleep disorders are common in SPA patients compared to the general population, and this is closely related to pain, depression, anxiety, quality of life, disease activity, fatigue levels and functional status. Keywords :Spondyloarthritis, sleep quality, disease activity, Jenkins sleep scale (JSEQ).
