Examining career anxiety of students in the faculty of sport sciences by q method

The aim of this study is to examine the career anxieties of students studying at the faculty of sports sciences by using the Q method. In this study, it was carried out with the Q method method, which is both a qualitative and quantitative study model, to examine the career concerns of the students. The study group of this research consists of a total of 30 students studying at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Faculty of Sport Sciences. On the basis of the department, 10 students in the last year were added to the study group by snowball sampling method. Non-structural design was preferred in the study. According to this design, the researcher was presented to the expert's opinion by forming positive and structurally positive questions based on the answers obtained from the data collected from the students. As a result of the expert opinion, the questions were finalized and the students were asked to place the expressions in the Q string created between +3 and -3. For the analysis of the findings obtained, interviews were conducted about the most positive and the most negative expressions among the departments as a result of the analysis of the expressions collected under 2 factors in the pqmethod.2 analysis program and what the reasons for these expressions were. Comparative interpretations are given between the Z scores obtained as a result of the ranking made according to the departments of the students and in general. As a result; In line with the data obtained, the subjects that the career concerns of the students of the faculty of sports sciences combine in common; Inadequate number of appointments according to the department graduated, incompetence and the existence of the interview system can be listed as the main reasons that increase career concerns.
