Analysis of the studies on the central and provinces organization of General Directorate of Sport: A meta synthesis study

This study aims to reveal the existing situation of sports management by considering the studies that have been done on the Department of Sports Services and the Ministry of Youth and Sports In this study the method of Meta-Syntheses which is a design of qualitative research has been used in order to synthesize both the quantitative and qualitative research results. This study includes 20 Doctoral Thesis, 62 Post Graduate Thesis and 72 articles that have been made on the Ministry of Youth and Sports between 1994 and 2018. These thesis and articles have been prepared by using quantitative and qualitative research methods that can serve to the aim of the meta study. The studies we included to the Meta-Synthesis are divided into 6 main themes and 46 subthemes according to their subjects, goals and results. When we look at the distributions of the studies we can see that there are 22 studies 8 subthemes "Youth and Sports Services", 50 studies with 9 subthemes "Sports Management", 60 studies with 15 subthemes "Organizational Behaviour", 8 studies with 2 subthemes "Youth and Sports Policies", 20 studies with 6 subthemes "Leadership and Management", 9 studies with 6 subthemes "Human Resources As a consequence, sports organizations need to be renewed and organizations should be prepared by taking non-governmental organizations opinions. Organizations should be apart form political powers and politics should be determined more productively in order to generalise the sports to community. Moreover, we can say that there should be educations about public relations, human resources, time management and career planning at the whole levels of sports organizations. Besides that, sports budgets should be increased and sports centres should be planned properly according to the public needs and desires, weather conditions of the region and population characteristics.
