Abstract (EN)

Due to the unique dynamic structure of sports and the continuity of sports activities; Sports disputes need to be resolved quickly and definitively by independent and impartial experts. In order for the sportive competition to continue under equal conditions, the resolution of similar disputes should not lead to different results and should be uniform. For this reason, a supranationally recognized judicial institution was needed for the resolution of sports disputes and the Court of Arbitration for Sports ("Tribunal Arbitral Du Sport" or TAS, "Court Of Arbitration For Sport" or CAS) was established. In this study, the place of the CAS in the sportive hierarchy, the judicial procedure, whether it is structurally independent and impartial, the scope of its jurisdiction, the impact of its decisions in the international arena, its enforcement and the possibility of legal remedies against its decisions were evaluated; In the evaluation, current debates in the doctrine and judicial decisions are also mentioned.
