Abstract (EN)

From past to present, ordinary objects and actions have been used in works as a part of art. When we started art from the paintings painted on the cave walls, today we have paintings with ordinary themes that started with hunting scenes as an ordinary day of those times; They continued as ordinary routines of daily life such as sitting, lying, eating and drinking. After Duchamp's "Fountain" urinal, the uniqueness of the work of art became a matter of discussion and ordinary objects became a part of art. With pop art, consumer objects and ready-made objects have increased. Nowadays, every ordinary action and every ordinary object can be included in art. While the ordinary action in cave painting is a hunting scene, in baroque art the ordinary action appears as a barber shop or a wedding dinner. Although the subject of the painting "Luncheon on the Grass" by the impressionist painter Eduard Manet is different, it is depicted through an ordinary act of eating. Although the subjects or concepts that are wanted to be depicted in many paintings, installations or performances in art history vary, they are formed around ordinary actions or ordinary objects. Duchamp's work called "Fountain", which he painted as a reaction, led to the beginning of the use of ready-made objects and laid the foundations of conceptual art. The main issue here is that while the production method and existence of the art object are questioned, it has also revealed the possibility of the idea being art and caused only the works based on ideas and the ordinary to be considered works of art. The use of ready-made objects reached the next level with Andy Warhol's "Coca Cola" work and "Brillo Boxes", which are elements of advertising and consumer culture. With the most everyday and ordinary being included in the field of art, the adventure of the concept of "Ordinariness" in art is limited through "object" and "action", and in which vii movements it takes place, in what way and why it is considered a work of art, it is examined and discussed chronologically.
