Abstract (EN)
Considering today's energy needs, researchers have been conducting significant studies investigating conversion of energy and energy resources. Stirling engines have various advantages because of their property of being able to run with thermal energy sources. The studies conducted until now have revealed that the use of regenerator increases engine efficiency. For this reason, exploring regenerator and its componentsis crucial in terms of improving Stirling engines. Research-development studies conducted until now differ in parallel with the advances in technology. High costing and time-consuming studies were being conducted in theoretical and experimental aspects in the past, and nowadays, researches can be carried out with low costs and in a short time with the help of packages like CFD. In the present study, beta type Stirling engine, heat, pressure and speed change occurring during the experiment are observed. Heat, pressure and speed graphics were drawn in the regenerator regions as a result of the analyses conducted by using ANSYS FLUENT package program. In addition, a number of comparisons were made taking the measurements in the point of entry, midpoint and endpoint of the regenerator into consideration.
