Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the reconfigurable terahertz spoof surface plasmon polariton delay lines using capacitive Nano-Electro-Mechanical Systems switches have been designed and nested double split ring resonator for linearly polarized dual band reflectarray have been analyzed. Firstly, in the light of the parameter analysis, ring gap, ring width and outer radius of ring values are selected according to the simulation results. The main goal is to design unit cells of dual band reflectarray antenna fed by a linearly polarized feeding system. Secondly, split rings designed according to parameter analysis are nested and Double Split Ring Resonator is obtained. Double Split Ring Resonator is designed to operate 8.23 and 12.4 gigahertz. 360 degree phase difference is obtained by rotating the designed rings and changing the physical parameters such as outer radius, ring gap of outer and inner rings. Finally, the design of reconfigurable spoof surface plasmon polariton are implemented by using Nano-Electro-Mechanical Systems switches with a width of 10 micrometer. Reconfigurable spoof surface plasmon polariton is designed to operate 300 gigahertz. 45, 90 and 135 degree phase differences between the spoof surface plasmon polaritons structures where the switches are in up and down-states have been reached.
