Abstract (EN)

Recent studies related to determining the effect of different treatments for type 2 diabetes in Iraqis on the level of lipid indicators, blood indicators, liver function analyzes in addition to the age, gender, and BMI, and the evaluation of indicators may be completed via the process of evaluating blood indicators that have been taken from patients in medical labs. 160 patients (males and females) suffering from diabetes and taking various blood sugar-containing therapies at Al-Sadr Teaching Hospital, Al-Amarah, Maysan, Iraq, between November (2021) and March (2022) were gathered together and given a diagnosis of the illness based on earlier clinical reports, clinical examinations, and laboratory testing. An additional 40 healthy men and women were included as a comparison group to ensure that findings were comparable across all demographic variables. Because of this, we can say that diabetes patients' blood serum levels were significantly higher than those of healthy participants in the biochemical and hematological evaluations (glucose, liver enzymes, lipid profile) (p≤0.05-001) (males and females). Diabetes mellitus is the primary cause of changes in biochemical and hematological markers in patients, according to these findings.
