Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to increase the efficiency of the tower by making certain changes on the water cooling towers. The tower parts that may be modified in this regard; fan, filler, cooling water pump is intended as operating water pump. In addition to this, it has been studied that environmental conditions and system conditions can also increase the efficiency of the tower. As environmental conditions; Wet thermometer temperature system condition as the operating water inlet temperature circulating pump, fan motor frequencies were studied by making changes in efficiency. With the help of a frequency converter, the fan motor speed and the tower recirculation pump speed are set. As a result, the effects on yield were investigated. It is seen that the efficiency is increased at high temperatures when the speed increase is made with the help of converter. At the same time, the effect of the filling and heat exchanger on the efficiency of the row was investigated. When the number of filler and heat exchanger rows is increased, the increase in efficiency is considered. The maximum area that can be used in the control volume from the fan to the location of cooling water in the tower positively affects the efficiency. Therefore, increasing the number of rows and pipes had a positive effect on efficiency. A prototype was made during the study and the increase in yield was shown according to experimental data. As a result of increasing the number of heat exchanger rows, a 10% increase in efficiency was observed.4 row copper tube exchanger, with the increase in the number of filling rows, a 3% increase in the efficiency of the tower was observed.
