In the last twenty years, the world has entered into a major economic and cultural change. Products, services and cultural commerce have caused the faster change with the rise of economic limitations. The key component necessary to improve the current situation, to adapt and be a leader for the changes of countries and communities is innovation.Nowadays, innovation, which the process producing commertial products from new and creative ideas for gaining the competative advantage to keep the global envirenment, have become a main policy in many developed contries.Although the basic process of innovation firstly established many years before in our country by TUBITAK and then with the establishment of BTYK (açık ismi yazılmalı), it is seemed that the innovation decisions does not exceed the life because of the political instability, lack of adequate legal regulations and insufficient leading of coverment to the industry.Non-innovative conditions could not have noticed untill the recent economical crisis. By the way, footwear sector, which 75 % of its production made by hand, lived its golden age between 1990-2000 period, for increasing the flow of cash into the country with the border trade. However, after this period, Russian customers turned their attention to the Far Eastern manucacturers so the local manufacturers have entered into a big trouble. Because of this negative formation in the footwear sector, manufacturers were entered into a variety of quest to reduce production costs. On the other hand, it is observed that producers who has made production processes more efficient and made a differences in the current situations, has little effected on this crisis environment. In this study the effects of innovative activities on productivity in production processes is investigated.
