Abstract (EN)
This study examines the existence of Spiral of Silence in Generation Y's usage of social media. This study analyzes the usage patterns and behaviors regarding social media, allegedly a democratic and free area, together with fears of exclusion of Generation Y, who has been active in social media from its very beginning and has already started to take seats in the business world. Current study will also aim to shed light on the political and financial aspects of the usage of social media. Finally, current study aims to determine whether Generation Y already has the elements of change and development -as they are assumed to have so- together with a free spirit or are they likely to go with the flow and keep their opinions to themselves when they feel the threat of exclusion.
