Abstract (EN)

In the history of Islam, a great effort has been made to correctly understand the Quran. This effort has been demonstrated through various sources. One of the sources referred to for understanding the Quran is the narrations. Some of these narrations are Israelite narrations. Including Israelite narrations in exegesis works without evaluation, especially when they are not consistent with the message of the Quran and authentic Sunnah, harms Islam and the Quran. In this study, the perspective of Suyuti on Israelite narrations in his exegesis work, "ad-Durr al-Manthur," which is filled with narrations, is examined. After touching on Suyuti's life, scholarly personality, and works, the characteristics of the "ad-Durr al-Manthur" exegesis and the subjects related to Israelite narrations within "ad-Durr al-Manthur" are discussed. To better understand the subject, the concept of Israelite narrations, their types, and the rulings on transmitting Israelite narrations are emphasized. Analyses related to the introduction of Israelite narrations into the activities of understanding the Quran and the reasons behind it are included. In terms of evaluating "ad-Durr al-Manthur" concerning Israelite narrations, examples of Israelite narrations present in the "ad-Durr al-Manthur" exegesis are discussed. In the conclusion, there is a critique of including Israelite narrations in exegesis works without any evaluation. Keywords: Qur'an, Exegesis, ad-Durr al-Manthurr, Israelite, Suyuti
