Abstract (EN)

In this study, compounds having N-[4-(1,3-dioxo-isoindolin-2-yl)phenyl] sulfonylacetamide, N-[4-(-1,3-dioxo-isoindolin-2-yl)phenyl] sulfonylbenzamide (compounds 1a-1g) and N-[4-(4,5,6,7-tetrafloro-1,3-dioxo-isoindolin-2-yl)phenyl]sulfacetamide and N-[4-(4,5,6,7-tetrafloro-1,3-dioxo-isoindolin-2-yl)phenyl] sulfonylbenzamide (compounds 2a-2h) structures were prepared and screened for their antituberculer activity.Commercially available phthalimide and 4,5,6,7- tetraflourophthalimide were used. Phthalimide and 4,5,6,7- tetraflourophthalimide with corresponding sulfonamide derivatives were refluxed in acetic acid to yield the target compounds.Physical and TLC behaviour of the synthesized compounds were determined. IR and 1H-NMR methods were used for the structure elucidation. Structures of new compounds 1a, 1b, 1e, 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e, 2f, and 2h were also supported by the elemental analysis.Antituberculer activities of target compounds were screened via micro broth dilution technique using Middlebrook Broth 7H9 as media. All tested molecules were dissolved in dimethylsulfoxide and their ½ dilutions were prepared in 0.2 ml tubes. Most active compounds were 2c, 2d, 2f and 2h, having activity with MIC of 32 µg/ml.
