Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of the basin edge and topography of the bedrock on the dynamic behavior of alluvial deposits is investigated with one and two dimensional dynamic analyses. Gürsu Plain (Bursa) is selected for investigation field. The soil parameters used in the analyses were obtained from literatures and from boreholes which has been made in the region during constructions. One and two dimensional dynamic behavior analyses were made on a representative cross-section of Gürsu Plain. One dimensional analyses were made with Depsoil program which can run nonlinear analyses. Two dimensional analyses were made with Plaxis 2D software. Viscous damping parameters for Plaxis 2D software were obtained from analysis of Deepsoil program. Acceleration records of past earthquakes in the region were used in the dynamic analyses. Dynamic behavior analyses showed that basin edge and bedrock topography have effect on dynamic soil behavior of alluvial soils deposits. One and two dimensional analyses results have some differences for alluvial soils deposits. One and two dynamic analyses results are given in this study with compared.
