Comparison of methods used in demand forecast: Application of a company producing hotel furniture in the tourism sector

Supply chain in the tourism sector; It is defined as an integrated system that manages the flow of goods and data in a network of interlocking rings such as manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, in order to ensure that all commercial processes from the procurement of raw materials to the distribution and marketing of the products to the final productions act in harmony. The network design problem, which includes sub-problems such as determining the item and number of this network and determining the amount of physical flow between each other, has a strategic importance in the management of the supply chain. For a company that produces hotel furniture in the tourism sector, the supply chain allows meeting customer demands in a timely and complete manner. In this context, forecasting becomes very important for the planning of furniture production. The main purpose of this study; The aim is to reveal the maximum customer service level of the company that provides data in the application for the production of hotel furniture in the tourism sector and the estimation of the demands of the products that will be sold and produced in the coming years in line with the sample product data. In line with this goal, the determination of sample products for our study was carried out with ABC Analysis, estimation methods such as Classical Forecasting Methods, Artificial Neural Networks, Box-Jenkins Method were applied, the results were compared and demand forecasting was determined according to customer service levels.
