Women protectionists at literary meeting places from Tanzimat to the Republic: An trial on the sociology of the intellectual in a gender perspective

This study aims to explain the etymological meaning of the concept of gender, which has existed throughout the historical process, the differences between gender and gender, what gender inequalities are, the struggle of individuals, especially women, as a result of inequality, the rights obtained as a result of the struggle, the social changes and developments that took place in society as a result of the rights gained. It aims to explain the transformations. As a result of gender inequality, feminists who want the social order to change and women to have equal rights in terms of education, economic, social, political and cultural aspects have struggled on these issues. By writing, drawing, verbally expressing problems, and some even participating in politics, female intellectuals expressed existing problems, raised public awareness, pursued social benefits, and engaged in such activities. Establishing women's associations and publishing their magazines are among the most important of these activities. The establishment of literary meeting places also stemmed from the importance given to writing, painting, art and literature. The purpose of formation literary meeting places is to hold literary and artistic meetings on certain days and at certain hours, to exchange ideas, to take care of social benefit, and to protect and support each other by writers who represent success in their period. Protective women regularly held literary and artistic meetings in their homes and achieved significant success as a result of these meetings.
