Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to combine people from different profession branches and prepare a handbook for lighting designers and help to develop the city identity from point of perception of historical buildings and environment.In the research of the study, light, visual perception, city identity, illumination and technic are investigated by literature, scientific investigation methods. Photographing, making experiments, observing, applying a public survey, analysizing the results, reading the city map, producing models, comparing examples, following the recent developments, magazines, news are the things done for the study. By the historical buildings? day and night appearences and architectural observing, many theories have been presented by graphics, products. After all analysis, synthesis, interperetions a lighting model has been produced for Karşıyaka Latife Hanım House and a suggestion has also been offered for İzmir Bay.In the content of the study, both electric engineering and architecture, social science disiplinces have been discussed to decide for the operations of restoration. The results of the operations, have been evaluated from the point of restoration, city, building conservation, protection. The result composition is so important, it gives many alternatives for the life of the city.In this interdisicipliner study, in every step restoration rules are valid. Historical buildings need profession for applying new things on it. The armatures, cables which can be used especially for the historical buildings are listed in the study. All details have been investigated especially from the point of restorator architects. The developing technic and technology help the subject go further and lead new investigation subjects. The research presents new products about the subject and brings a new view for historical heritage protection. This study shows how can an illumination of a historical building or environmnet can be , gives examples and forms a source for light designers.
