Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, to understand the dynamic behaviors of historical structures, Elekci Bridge and Yozgat Clock Tower in Yozgat were investigated in terms of earthquake behaviors. These selected structures are modeled with SAP2000 Finite element program using macro modeling approach with solid elements. Time history analyses of the obtained models were carried out by using the acceleration records of Erzincan earthquake, which has occurred in 13 March 1992. Hence, earthquake behaviors of the historical structures which are subject to study were detected. According to the analysis results, mode shapes, natural frequencies, maximum displacements of structural elements, displacement time graphics, maximum stress values were determined and earthquake performance of historical structures was investigated. As a result, earthquake behaviors of the historical structures which are subject to study were detected. The results of the study will be a guide to the restoration projects of the historical structures. Keywords: Dynamic Analysis, Finite Element, Historical Structure.
