Abstract (EN)

Green transformation is basically a derived concept for climate change and efficient use of resources. It encompasses both economic and environmental sustainability. Green transformation is a roadmap for adaptation to policies to combat climate change and strengthening export competitiveness. It was announced that the "Green Reconciliation Action Plan" was accepted with the circular published in the Official Gazette No. The EU will impose new taxation and will exempt from export restrictions, extra taxes and incentive programs for those that do not comply with the green transformation. In the light of recent developments, Green transformation has become mandatory for businesses. This study primarily aimed to measure the green management awareness of agricultural entrepreneurs and managers, and then to determine the effects of this awareness on the participants' perception of change. It also examined the relationship of some demographic factors to the perception of change. The Çukurova Region, which has an important place in the Turkish economy and is one of the regions with the largest population density in Turkey with a population of more than 16 million, and there are 33 thousand people registered in the farmer registration system to work in agriculture and agriculture-based enterprises in this region. The universe of our research consists of agricultural enterprises and agriculture-based industry enterprises operating in the Çukurova region. A total of 420 people working in agriculture and agriculture-based sectors in this region were surveyed. According to the results of the research, it has been seen that Green management awareness has a statistically significant effect on the sub-dimensions of organizational change perception (positive emotional perception, negative emotional perception, positive behavior perception, negative behavior perception, cognitive perception). It is seen that gender and education differ significantly with the perception of change. There was no significant difference between the participants' knowledge about the Paris Climate Agreement and their perception of change. In order for agricultural entrepreneurs and managers to adapt to the green management style, first of all, their awareness level should be increased. Then, studies should be carried out to improve the perceptions of change between men and women. It is seen that increasing the educational status of the participants is important in terms of adaptation to change. It will be beneficial to carry out awareness and adaptation studies for agricultural entrepreneurs and managers about the legal obligations that the Paris climate agreement will bring, as well as green management. In addition, the application of the model of the study to the other sectors included in the agreement and throughout Turkey is important in terms of generalizing the research results.
