Abstract (EN)
In this study a heat recovery assisted heat pump dryer was designed. Thermodynamic behaviour of drying medium and heat pump system was numerically modelled. With the basis of constant rate drying period, effect of heat recovery system efficiency, flow rate and relative humidity of drying medium changes on energy consumption was researched. The parameters used while solving the system were selected with the experiences obtained from applications. To control the inlet air properties of the dryer, an exhaust exit and a fresh air entrance were added. The coefficient of performance of the heat pump was selected as a fixed value and the calculations were made on this way. For this purpose a computer software was developed to solve the system. Different conditions were solved with this software and the behaviour and the performance of the system evaluated.
