Abstract (EN)
In this study, the parasite presences of parasites on 150 Leuciscus cephalus from Taşoluk Dam Lake, Turkey were investigated between April 2010 and May 2011. Five parasite species were determined in the host fishes: 272 Gyrodactylus scardiniensis (%21.3, 6.6±4.1) was found on gill branches and fins of the host fish specimens; 64 G. prostae (%5.3, 6.6±4.1) on gill arches; 364 Dactylogyrus vistulae (%32.0, 7.6±13.9); 33 Allocreadium isoporum (%1.3, 16.5±21.9) and 33 Bothriocephalus sp. (%7.3, 2.9±5.1) were found in intestine of the host fish. Among these species, Gyrodactylus scardiniensis and G. prostae are new records for parasite fauna of Turkey. As a result of this, a new locality has been added to geographical invasions of the parasite species. In addition, minimum-maximum and mean intensity of parasites and infection prevalence were determined using seasonal data, size and sex distribution of the host fish.
