ABSTRACT Ph.D. Thesis PHARMACOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF TASTROMTNE RANA BEİS Anadolu University Graduate School of Health Sciences Pharmacology Program Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Yusuf ÖZTÜRK 2000 It has been long known that tastromine had been investigated in the pharmacological history due to its effects on the adrenergic system. In this thesis, it was aimed to investigate pharmacological activities of tastromine on the basis of adrenoceptor knowledge that has been changed in recent years. Effects of tastromine were evaluated on various isolated organs and certain experimental systems in vivo. In regard to cti-adrenoceptor predominancy, isolated organs used in this study were selected as rat vas deferens, spleen and aorta for ciia-, Keyword: Aort = Aorta ; Dalak = Spleen ; Reseptörler-adrenerjik = Receptors-adrenergic ; Tastromin = Tastromine ; Vas deferens = Vas deferens
