Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of posture training on musculoskeletal, pain, and quality of life in textile workers. Work-related musculoskeletal diseases occurring due to work, are characterized by inflammatory or degenerative symptoms, tendon, muscle, ligament, bone-joint tissues, nerves and disc structure and besides by problems, such as pain and physical restriction on individuals. The study includes textile workers (n=60) with a mean age of 42,09 ± 9,54 years who met the acceptance criteria. Within the scope of posture education; posture training seminar was given to all workers and posture exercise program was applied to all textile workers. Posture exercises were led by a physiotherapist once-a-week and the other days continued home exercise program for 12 weeks. The exercise program lasted about 40 minutes. After the demographic data of all cases were recorded, posture analysis (PostureScreen Mobile® application), pain (Visual analogue scale), musculoskeletal system (Cornell musculoskeletal discomfort questionnaire, rapid exposure assessment criteria and rapid whole-body evaluation method) and quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF-TR) have been evaluated. After the 12-week treatment program, all evaluations were repeated. SPSS (SPSS 22.0) program was used for statistical analysis of the data. For all the analyzes, the level of significance was accepted as p<0,05. The textile workers participated in the study percent of 54 were primary school graduates. When the working postures were examined, 87,5% of them were working in standing posture. As a result of the study, a statistically significant improvement was found in posture analysis, pain, musculoskeletal system and quality of life (p <0,05). As a result of the study, which was planned to compare the effects of posture training in textile workers, it was concluded that the posture training program in the textile workers was effective in reducing the pain on the musculoskeletal system and improving the quality of life.
