Abstract (EN)

The principle of "paying fair tax according to everyone's income" introduced by the Tanzimat Edict, which was accepted as the milestone of administrative, military and financial changes in the Ottoman Empire, was tried to be applied in different regions of Anatolia and Rumelia after a short time and a new financial tax was called dividend tax work has begun. Erzurum and its surroundings, which were invaded especially after the Ottoman-Russian war of 1828-29, suffered a great loss especially in terms of economic and financial income and its political future was under great danger. In this respect, both the redetermination of socio-economic incomes after the war and the new financial policies implemented in the region after the Tanzimat period, dividend writing had important duties. On the other hand, 115 villages and Erzurum Ova villages, which have approximately 963 pages of temettuat catalog, contain one of the widest temettuat writings among the Anatolian and Rumeli districts. Almost all of the books are Ottoman Archive ML.VRD.TMT.d. Two different books were prepared for the Muslim and non-Muslim populations in some villages, which are included in the catalog fund. Based on these books, in our study on Erzurum Plain, first of all the incomes of the region such as real estate, land, animals and professions were considered one by one, then the incomes of all households were determined and subjected to general evaluation. Especially in the third chapter, sociological issues such as religion, ethnicity, nickname and name of the population living in the Erzurum Plain are discussed, and extensive information is given about immovable properties such as fields, meadows, gardens and mills.
