Abstract (EN)
In this study, the rails of overhead cranes combined with the termite welding method (A100) are investigated. In the range of termite welding geometry of 25 -50 mm in width, effects at the junction points of the rails are put in consideration with respect to physical, mechanical and service-life throughout the attachment points. Despite the fact that the termite welding can be handled with 14-50 mm in width on the theoretical background, that of 25-50 mm in width is preferred for the sake of practical view. Because, there is an useless effect of slag residues trapped in the welded joint of 14-25 mm in width.
