Abstract (EN)

In this study, antioxidant, antimicrobial activities and some enzymatic abilities of 52 thermophilic cyanobacteria isolates were investigated. The DPPH• cleaning method was applied for the antioxidant potential of the methanol extracts of the isolates. For the determination of antimicrobial activity, agar block diffusion and agar well diffusion methods were used for the determination of antimicrobial activity. Compared to the synthetic antioxidant ascorbic acid, isolates 23, 37 and 6 showed the highest antioxidant activity, while isolate G6 showed the lowest activity. G13 isolate was determined as the isolate with the highest antimicrobial activity against Micrococcus luteus NRRL B-4375 bacteria. In order to determine the enzymatic abilities of cyanobacteria, media at pH 7 and pH 8 were used. While amylase and protease activities of the isolates were not observed, lipase and cellulase activities were determined for some isolates. Identification of the isolates was determined according to the 16S rRNA gene region sequence
