Abstract (EN)

Antibiotics are drugs that are used in the treatment of bacterial infectious diseases and are of great importance for human health. These drugs prevent the proliferation of bacteria or completely neutralize the bacteria and restore human health. Detection of antibiotics in water sources creates a carcinogenic effect in microorganisms, while in bacteria, it causes an increase in resistance to the content of the antibiotic. While industrial, agricultural and urban wastewater is treated, residues of antibiotics cause the formation of different types of antibiotics, which adversely affects human health. Therefore, it is important to treat wastewater containing antibiotics at a high rate and to prefer economical methods. In this study, wastewater containing tetracycline active substance was treated by sono fenton, heterogeneous fenton and adsorption methods. In the study, the effects of pH, clay content, hydrogen peroxide concentration, reaction time, initial concentration and temperature were examined and optimum points were determined. Bentonite clay was used as a catalyst in the experiments. In the Sono Fenton method, 99.8% color removal was achieved in the antibiotic-containing wastewater at optimum points (pH:2, clay content:0.1g, H2O2 concentration:50ppm, reaction time:60min, initial concentration:50ppm). In the heterogeneous Fenton method, 99.24% of color was removed at optimum points (pH:2, clay content:0.5g, H2O2 concentration:100ppm, reaction time:45min, initial concentration:50ppm, temperature:30°C). In the adsorption method, 99.98% color removal was achieved at the optimum points (pH: 4, clay content: 0.5 g, reaction time: 60 min, initial concentration: 50 ppm, temperature:30°C).
