Abstract (EN)
In this thesis based upon the review of the related literature; the utilized terminology regarding the available types of absorption refrigeration systems; ARS, is outlined. The specified parameters used through experimental and theoretical studies are presented. In conformity with the related literature a single stage ideal ARS cycle with a solution side heat exchanger of 100% efficiency is referred handling water-LiBr in the theoretical test cases. The influence of evaporator temperature Te, generator temperature Tg for a variety of maximum and minimum pressures of the cycle on cycle performance are considered through 54 separate cases?conditions. In the covered cases absorber and condenser temperatures, Ta and Tc are accepted as constant. Thermodynamic analyses of the covered cases are expressed in terms of defined non-dimensional parameters of pressure ratio, Pr temperature ratio, Tr,and specific working fluid consumption, SW. The performance parameters defined as PPCOP and PPSW are also used to compare ARS with a conventional vapor compression refrigeration cycle VCRS handling R-22 as a sample case.
