Abstract (EN)

TiO2 is one of the most widely used semiconductor materials in thin film applications. As the semiconductor material, TiO2 has three crystal phases, anatase, rutile and brokite. TiO2 is used in solar cells, photovoltaic applications and many other fields. In this thesis, different ratios of Graphene oxide (GO) with and without additive TiO2 were coated on glass substrates as thin film. GO were synthesized by Modified Hummers method and TiO2 were synthesized by sol-gel method. Spin coating method was used for coating of glass substrates. Drying at 250 oC for 5 minutes was applied in each coating step. This process was repeated 3 times and the samples were finally annealed at 400 oC for 1 hour. The structural and optical properties of the films were examined using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and UV-vis. region spectrometry, respectively. As a result, it was observed that the GO additive changed the optical properties of TiO2. While the additive had no effect on the absorption wavelength, it changed the absorption percentage. The reflection increased at shorter wavelengths and decreased at high wavelengths. In addition, it is determined that the transmittance decreases as the additive rate increases.
