Performances of medlar tree (Mespilus germanica L.) genotypes selected from Tokat province

Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted in the central district of Tokat between 2019-2020. As material, it consisted of 60NA01, 60NH02, 60NT01 and 60PA58 genotypes, which were determined as promising cultivar candidates from the medlar selection study conducted in 2010-2012 and planted in the genetic resource plot. In our findings, it was seen that the flowering and harvest dates of the genotypes were similar. According to the two-year average data, fruit weight is 15.48 - 20.63 g, fruit width is 31.33 - 35.63 mm, 100 seed weight is 28.57 - 31.87 g, ratio of seed weight to fruit weight is 7.83 -9.63 %, flesh firmness 10.34 - 13.03 Nevton, tree crown volume 792.01 - 1155.55 cm3, yield 223.98 g - 1046.62 g/tree, water-soluble dry matter content was between 20.18-24.35% and total acidity was between 0.65-1.11%. It was determined that the number of seeds in the fruit was 5 pieces.
