Abstract (EN)
|Transportation is the transfer of people or goods from one place to another. Public transportation is a transportation system in which many people or goods travel at the same time with the same vehicle or system, without using personal vehicles. Transport and public transport play a critical role in the functioning and quality of life of modern societies. These have economic, environmental, social and community impacts. Therefore, establishing a solid transportation infrastructure and operating an effective public transportation system is of great importance for the sustainable development of cities and societies. In this study, the role of the minibus, which is an important type of public transportation, the situation of minibuses in Istanbul and a driver recognition model proposal for minibuses were made. For this purpose, driver recognition models have been examined and a model proposal has been presented for the supervision and recognition of minibus drivers. In this proposed model, it uses deep learning-based facial recognition method to check drivers' information such as driver's license, route, driving, substance or alcohol use. The proposed model is integrated with the mobile application called mobApps. This application includes functions such as driver control, disabled access, passenger comfort, ease of payment and illegality prevention. This model is thought to be important because it is a first for minibuses and provides solutions to the problems faced by minibus drivers. It is anticipated that this proposed model may be beneficial for the safety, comfort and general life safety of minibus drivers.
