Investigation of anti-tokoplasma gondii antibodies by Sabin-Feldman dye test and ELISA IgM and IgG in patients with suspected toxoplasmosis

n INVESTIGATION OF ANTl-TOXOPLASMA GONDII ANTIBODIES BY SABIN-FELDMAN DYE TEST AND ELISA IgM AND IgG IN PATIENTS WITH SUSPECTED TOXOPLASMOSIS (M.Sc.Thesis) Bülent ACAR GAZİ UNIVERSTY INSTITUTE OF SCffiNCE AND TECHNOLOGY September 2001 ABSTRACT In order to determine the mti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies between January 1998 and December 2000, the sera of 699 patients were examined by Sabin- Feldman test Toxo EIA IgM and Toxo IgG.Toxoplasma seropositivity was found in 250 patients which has 1/16 titration 101, 1/64 titration 114, 1/256 titration 24, 1/1024 titration sera by Sabin-Feldman Dye Test. On the other hand the seropositivite was found in 29 sera by Toxo EIA IgM in 254 sera by Toxo IgG and in 20 sera by both tests. 13 patients' sera which were seronegative by Sabin-Feldman Dye Test were found seropozitive by Toxo EIA.
