Socio-ekonomic structure of Trabzon

Locations provide opportunities to follow socioeconomic improvements at social level. It has therefore been necessary that social and economic structures of provinces should be considered by economics. This research, aimed at assessing socioeconomic structure of Trabzon Province, attempts to investigate its current socioeconomic structure. Additionally, potential problems that can emerge from the province?s development period has been researched and compared to Turkey context.When looking from outside to Trabzon Province, it does not seem as an underdeveloped area. However, there have been significant developmental differences between Eastern Black Sea Provinces? central districts and other districts. It is obvious that a considerable amount of agricultural production can not be generated in the region although it has been accepted that inhabitants from outside the city centre engage in agriculture. In this regard, from the view of such information, development speed of Trabzon Province could reach a better level through eliminating the factors that impede its development.Keywords: Trabzon, Socio-economic Structure, Development
