The analysis of the literary texts involved in TRT Kid Magazine in terms of values education (1-70)

The main purpose of this research is to analyse the literary texts in TRT Çocuk Magazine in terms of values education. In the first part of the study, sub objectives that are related with main objectives, the importance of the thesis and limitations are determined. In addition to these; related studies are briefly mentioned in this part. In the second part of the study; the conceptual framework that is related with definition, function, properties and classifications of value, values education approaches, the values of the Turkish National Education Systems, education of values in Turkish lectures, the role of literature in values education, child journalism in Turkey and in the World, TRT Çocuk Magazine is created. Descriptive scanning model is used in this research. The first 70 published journals of TRT Çocuk Magazine in between 2010-2016 are examined one by one, the chapters of these journals that is consisting of value are determined, these chapters are classified according to their categories and values are presented in table form. Determined values are interpreted and trying to be explained how those values are processed in journals. Furthermore, it has been found that the values in the journals are given to the reader by the means of implication and exploring rather than directly didactical way. As a result of the data that is obtained from the study; helpfulness is the most seen value in the studied chapters and journals; helpfulness is followed by scientificity, love, giving importance to be healthy and friendship values respectively. Chastity, frugality, freedom and bravery are committed rarely. Key words: Value, Values Education, Literary Text, TRT Çocuk Magazine
