Examining of folksong lyrics in TRT repertory in terms of topic, kind and form

Folksongs are a reflection of society's culture. In terms of contribute to the advancement of society's culture and folklore, it is important that society is deal with which topics, use which kind and form when they create a folksong. Thereby, it has been introduced that whether or not societies have any consciousness and a creation style when creating a folksong. For this purpose, initially presented Turkish Folk Music, folksong, kind and form concepts which can be take as a base for this case. Subsequently, approximate 4222 folksongs take place in the 1st and 2nd volumes of the Anthology of verbal performances published on 2000 by TRT, constitutes the keystone of this study, are analyzed in terms of topic, kind and form with description method and the findings are presented statistically. In the meantime, the poetical structure, is an essential target, has especially been emphasized, melodically structure also submitted a careful examination. In the part of conclusion and suggestions, these findings are evaluated and reach a conclusion. The subject of determining of the kind and forms in the structure of folksongs suggested as another research base.
