Research on tulu technique and application of contemporary design

In the research, samples were given from the general information of the past about tülü and similar texts. Tulu and similar fabrics have been classified according to their geographical area. While starting the thesis study, necessary its have been done field researches. The main topic of research is post-view textiles. It is thought that these weaving parts can be transformed into the clothes. The weaving parts are weaving on the hand loom considering the color-form-texture on the clothes patterns inspired by post-look clothes. The main material were used as wool tufts. In the first part, general information about the tülü weaving history is given and the detailed analysis of the textiles such as tulu and similar fabrics, examples of similar-looking fabrics in the world are examined, the past was supported by visually giving information about the usage areas of daytime post-look clothes and tulu's clothes. In the second part, post-looking textiles were used in fashion from 1900 to 2000 and their visuals were supported. In the third part, each step of the garment designs is explained and the whole working on the model is supported by the visuals and put into research study.
