Abstract (EN)

Recently, assessment of soil-structure interaction has become in a very popular and important research subject. Excavations in soil cause to deformations and also causes to damage in superstructures. Trough this fact, the need of the determination of damage level of the structures is arising. In this study; displacements, estimated by a settlement analysis of a damaged building located in İstanbul Province, Esenler District, were compared with the measured displacements occurred due to tunneling. When preparing numerical model first, the soil model was developed, then the settlement surface, consisted due to effected structural loads to the soil, was estimated by a Plaxis 3D Tunneling program. Later troughs the settlement analysis, the displacements were effected on the nodes of the foundation meshed into finite elements as a displacement loads. In this way soil-structure interaction was developed. Then with the program ETABS, displacements of the structure were computed and compared with the measured displacements. In this way, the case of damage level, due to displacement effect on the structure was determined. Last, the damage assessment of the structure was prepared.
