Proposal of a common tourism portal model in Turkic world countries

The technology that develops day by day makes it easier for people to travel. This has increased the participation rate in tourism activities and has greatly affected the competition between destinations. At this point, one of the most important breakthroughs for destinations is digital marketing. Turkic World countries are of great importance in the tourism sector with their history, natural beauty and diversity, and opportunities in the field of tourism. However, the existing opportunities cannot be used effectively for the acceptance of the Turkic World in the field of tourism as a whole. The aim of the research is to determine the shortcomings of the Turkic World in marketing within the scope of tourism, the strategies to be followed in terms of promotion and the needs and expectations of the visitors in a tourism portal to be created. In this research, the quantitative method was used. In the research, data were collected from the professionals in the tourism sector living in Turkic World countries using the survey technique. The data obtained were analyzed with the statistical package program. In the analysis of the research, factor and reliability analysis, correlation analysis, independent sample t-test and ANOVA tests were used. In addition, qualitative method was used for 3 open-ended questions in the questionnaire, it was analyzed with the MAXQDA program and analyzed by the coding method. Finally, a tourism portal model proposal that can benefit Turkic World tourism has been introduced. Keywords: Turkic World, Tourism, Digital Marketing
