Effective of Turkish cinema of the Turkish identity: Turkish historical movies and popularity of Cüneyt Arkın

After the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, consisting the construction of the Turkish identity of Turkish cinema especially between 1960-1980 has an effect of a historical perspective and the light of the movies in the historic period called Yesilcam. The nationalism in the 19th century has affected to discover cinema. Filmmakers have begun to reflect elements of social reality trough movies and nationality was also taken in these films and began to be seen again. Also in the 19th century and the beginning of the birth of cinema activitities there are movies seperated between Ottoman and Turkish cinema and this continued with films made in this period. The period between the 1960 and 1980 are the most popular cinema called Yesilcam covering years from cinema. Glut of films gives us a prototype in terms of nationality. In this work, Turkish people are national, identity is an important condition of supply that Yesilcam era historical films in terms of national films and the example is played by the most involved leading players named by Cuneyt Arkin. Again Yesilcam during making live witness, screenwriter and served as director and movies are translated in part.
