An analysis of folk tale motifs in the musical movies of Turkish cinema

Folk narratives which is the part of oral culture protect mtheri existence in the society even when it?s passed to written culture. Cinema, result of the techical development, maintain its existence over a century. So it mimics the technology tradition.In this thesis, it?s compared the motifs of the films with song with the motifs of the folk story. Therefore the motifs od folk story is examined and it?s explained by giving examples that many of these motifs are used in the films.This thesis is examined in three parts . In first part, folk story, motif, film with the song etc, are indicated. In the second part folk stories are divided into episodes and the motifs of the films are designed. In the third part,,, it?s compared under the motifs which are designed.As a result of this work, it?s determined that the motifs of folk story are offenly used in the films with song.
