Abstract (EN)

Turkey changed her trade strategy based on import substitute industrialization and has started to apply export-oriented industrialization policies after 1980. This thesis, mainly analyses the effects of export incentives on trade performance of Turkey between 1980-1990. Study also include the applied export promotion policies during 1968-1980, to compare both period and see complete picture of the efficiency in trade incentives such as tax exemption, cheap credits, undervaluation of Turkish Liras. According to the Rich Regression Analysis results, most efficient policies in the export performance are exchange rate policy and tax exemptions. After 1980's financial aids such as KKDF and DFIF seem also important intensives for exporters. Export credits positive effect on export were found limited compering other incentives.
